Mom, Kristi and Adam, Gary and Jordan, and the two of us made up the entire dinner party. Well, he had mentioned something about a drink after work early in the day, and suggested that we compromise on our work schedules, rather than go at either 4:00 or 6:30, we could go at 5:15. Well I should have figured something was up when I had a few more things to take care of at 5:15, and he was getting "anxious" (is that the new word for that?). Then when we walked in, I looked to him, to see if he wanted to sit her?.... how about here?.... or here?... and each time he "shushed me on". You know that hand shush motion :).. finally we ended up in the back room where everyone jumped out and yelled happy birthday... well we commenced to having a bunch of good food, lots of fun, flowers and cards and yes, the ever famous "blow on" squacking noise makers. Did I mention that I had brought some "squackers" in to work for his birthday... so his buddies all greeted him that morning with those things... well, he went around and "stole" them back from all of his friends and co-workers.... for my special party.

It definitely was a day to remember... a great family and a loving husband. It really doesn't get any better than that.

Kristi and Adam, the flowers are lovely. They make me smile each time I go by them, and remind me of the teriffic family I have.

Thank you Lucy for the birthday call too. It was nice to hear your voice again. We certainly look forward toward your next visit.

Gene has been spending some of his free time combing his newest dead pet. I'm sure you will see pictures sometime.... or maybe you'll just have to "visit the homestead". :)

Hello to everybody out there, and have a "Happy Fall". (not the kind that Mary had.)

hugs to all. psAnonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3941707780522352523.post-19131399274261459962008-10-03T11:44:00.000-05:002008-10-03T11:44:00.000-05:00As always Gene, awesome pictures!!
