It was August 8th and Rosie had just gotten back from Brazil a few days before. She had a ton of photos she wanted to show everyone, so we invitied Rose, Bryn, Donna and Mary A. to Ogema to eat supper, hear about the tripa and see the pictures.
I set up the boiler just off the deck a ways, got the pot out and boiled up.....
yes, a batch of really good sweet corn that R & B picked up in Westboro on their way up here.
We set about the task of eating all that corn, some burgers off the grill and some really good cucumber slices in vinegar. One of those summer suppers that cant' be beat.
There are those cukes, in the lower left of the photo. Almost as good as pickled herring.....
A beautiful evening, good company and some interesting tales of international travels. If you're going to Brazil, be sure to learn Portuguese, or travel with someone who speaks it. Ask Rose about her experiences in the airports on here way down there.... yikes!!

Really nice pictures of everyone. The food looks good too. Rosie must have had lots of interesting stories and I will look forward to hearing them from her.

It really was a lovely evening...I think we all had a great time, the food was tasty, the company was great. Life is good.
It certainly was nice to hear all of Rosie's stories AFTER she got back. yikes...
Looks like next weekend will be another busy weekend. Milwaukee, here we come... I guess. :)
